Meet the Trainer —
Aaron Vaughn

Experience and Heart You Can Trust

Aaron Vaughn brings over 20 years of nursing experience to every training session. His medical background spans l

ong-term care, sub-acute rehab, behavioral health, and leadership roles as a Nurse Manager and Assistant Director of Nursing.

In addition to his clinical expertise, Aaron has 22 years of youth sports coaching experience, giving him a deep understanding of the urgency and split-second decisions required when injuries happen. He knows firsthand how critical it is to act quickly — whether that means removing protective equipment, assessing an athlete through gear, or providing immediate care before EMS arrives. This unique combination of medical and coaching experience allows Aaron to teach CPR/BLS in a way that connects deeply with parents, coaches, and anyone who may face real-world emergencies.

After two decades of seeing how quick action can save a life — and how hesitation can cost one — Aaron decided to share his expertise beyond the hospital walls. He became a BLS and CPR trainer to empower others to act with confidence when it matters most.

“I remember the incredible instructors and mentors who shaped me into the nurse I am today. Their guidance didn’t just teach me skills—it built my confidence, my judgment, and my ability to act when every second mattered.

I was once a student myself—unsure, inexperienced, and learning everything for the first time. Someone had to take the time to teach me, to guide me, and to show me what real emergency readiness looked like. Now, I see people standing in the same place I once stood, but without the benefit of strong mentors or instructors who have truly been in these situations. Too often, there aren’t enough passionate teachers, or the people teaching have never actually done the job they’re preparing others for. I want to give others the same opportunity, the same real-world guidance, and the same confidence that was given to me.

"None of us truly knows how we’ll respond in a crisis, but preparation can change everything. If I can prepare even one person to act—rather than hesitate—when it matters most, then I’ve carried forward what my own mentors instilled in me.”

— Aaron Vaughn

Inside the classroom, Aaron brings an energetic, practical, and reality-based teaching style—balanced by a calm, steady demeanor. He’s known for making students feel comfortable even when learning high-pressure skills and for turning serious topics into memorable, motivating lessons. His approach gives students real confidence and prepares them to act quickly and decisively in an emergency.

Learn from a trainer who has not only taught CPR/BLS — but has lived the life of a nurse on the front lines and a coach who understands what it takes to respond when seconds matter.
